Hi All!
The Sweat shop is officially closed now at 11:45pm. I finished sewing the little girls jumpers and then we finished all the bags for the school children with the help of the lovely Ruth. Each bag contains an outfit, a pair of underwear, and two new toothbrushes for each child! Kim and I are super excited to see the look on the children's faces.
Tomorrow we are having a field day at the school and we will be presenting each child with a bag just for them. Next we will be playing games with the kids and then feeding them a special lunch of pasta and sauce. It was very touching how sweet and happy these children are. They face poverty everyday and some of them eat only once a day at the school.
I have learned to be thankful for every morsel I put in my mouth.
God is doing wonderful things here and I look forward to returning someday with Aaron.
I am so moved by Pastor Samuel and the work that is going on at the church. They have welcomed me with such love. I am humbled. I feel such freedom in having very little creature comforts. I am really enjoying the slower pace and the few distractions. I am more free to serve and pray and worship.
Thank you to all who are partnering with me in the work of the Lord.
Asante Sana!

Dearest Tanya,
What a blessing to be a faithful servant, doing the Lords work with such a grateful heart. I know the children will be so thankful to receive the school bag and the clothes and gifts inside.
We take so much for granted and we have so much. Ariana and I read your posting together and we were discussing what it would be like for her to only have one meal a day. Ariana says she would have a stomach ache and feel sick. I told her that that is probably a daily feeling for the children there. She asked. Do they feel like they are going to die?
She would like to give them food. We talked about her missions offering, and how it helps feed children all over the world who are hungry for food as well as the Word of God that nourishes their souls.
We love you so much. Peace and blessings,
Love Mom
