I have waited for a long time to write this blog! We are booked on the night flight out of Nairobi next week! I am a huge mixture of conflicting emotions. On the one hand, I cannot wait to get home, but there is the side of me that doesn't even know where to begin to say goodbye.
I do want to say, as I know that we have put them so much in the last few months, that our embassy here in Nairobi has been very kind and helpful these past few weeks after Jeromy left. They have made the paperwork process very easy for me and have gone above and beyond to help us get home quickly. In addition, all of my interactions have been professional and kind. After all that we have been through in the past few months, it really meant so much. So, I know that people there check our blog, and I want to say a real thank you. They don't like their names to be used, but never the less, we are forever grateful.
Probably won't blog much in the next week as we pack and say farewell. See you on the flip-side!

PRAISE GOD ALMIGHTY!! We all thank the Embassy staff too! You guys rock! It's time to party!
Hey Kim,
I know exactly how you feel...
And remember, it's not a good-bye, just "see you later." You know we both love Kenya too much to not go back...and who knows - maybe we'll adopt again from there...? Kimtai is asking for a chocolate baby sister =P. Anyway, thank God, and thank you U.S. Embassy for being so kind to my good friend Kim!

Just so you know, I've talked to two Kenyan pastors today and they are coming with some of their congration to the celebration when you get home, not the airport but the BIG ONE later on.We are already praying for the adjustment you will all have to life in the US.As your family, we will do anything we can to ease that transition. In the meantime, I add my praise to God for His care of you while in Kenya and pray His continued blessings for the future. We love you so much and are grateful for the Embassy's help to speed you on your way!!!! To them Mungu akubariki sana and asante sana!!!!!! Dad and Mom
woo hoo! can't wait to see the smiths! if you need a place to have a gathering, there's always the new & constantly improving felton pool area. although, you have so many loved ones with you in this process, you are probably going to need a really really big place or just have multiple celebrations! ~stephanie felton
SO very happy for you all!! God is good in allowing you all to touch so many lives--and just to think the journey is only now beginning! Congratulations!!
