His Answer

Just a few short hours ago we received word that we have been granted a court appearance for the 30th of November. We are in awe of God's provision and kindness toward us. With all of the poverty and pain I see here in Kenya, it is sometimes difficult for me to ask anything of God. No, it is not a pride issue, it's just that it seems so selfish to ask God to change a court date when you look into the eyes of a starving child...starving for more than food, for love, security, knowledge...It makes our sacrifice and situation seem so small here. However, we know that God has said that He sent Jesus to the earth so that He could suffer as we suffer, so he understands the entire spectrum of confusion and suffering. From our hearts that long for home to the child that longs for love. God gets it and He cares about it all. We want all who read this to understand, it was not the work of a lawyer or a husband who spent hours he didn't have on the phone pleading our case, but the work of a loving God who knows each heart and cares though our problems be big or small. We can never give Him enough praise.

Dear Kim: We are thrilled and rejoicing with you both on the news of the Nov. 30th court date. God is good! We are all growing spriritually through these trials. But we are truly blessed to see what God is doing in your and Jeromy's lives and how you are learning to depend on Him. Your blog messages warm my heart. Love, Mom
