We've heard whispers of possibilities, but it is one of those things that we just won't know we have a letter until we know. But we got a lot of positive feedback today.
If you didn't have time to send a fax today, would you please consider sending one tomorrow?
Otherwise, if you can do the same stuff we did today PLUS reach out to any friends that you have in local media, that would be huge. So, the short list is below. Asante sana, sana.
- Fax the White House. 202-456-2461. I know it seems like an intimidating task to some, but give it a try. You might have to dial "9" first when calling outside the office :-)
- Email First Lady Laura Bush. first.lady@whitehouse.gov.
- Put posts on MySpace and/or Facebook for the Bush, Obama, Clinton, or McCain groups
- If you have any connections with local US media that might be interested in the story, please feel free to use them. Even if this doesn't result in receiving the letter, maybe it will help encourage other adoptive couples that we don't need to be afraid to relentlessly love our children.
- Please pray that we can find Sundi's hearing aid. She lost it at a children's function and we fear another kid may have reclaimed it as a toy. This actually happened last week, so she's struggling with her old ones right now but we pray that miraculously they show up.

Hi Jeremy and Kim,
Just wanted to let you know that I contacted Nazarene Evie in Kenya. Don is the Africa East Field Strategy Coordinator and Evie is the Program Manager for an USAID Orphans and Vulnerable Children's project. While they do not feel they would be influential in the process, they are familiar with similar cases and, I think, would be a good contact. Evie will probably be in touch with you. If I had an email address for you would send more info.
My prayers are with you.
God Bless,
Kathy Sprole
